In Gary, a plug or patch repair usually takes under half an hour without an appointment, while a full set of tires with alignment is best booked ahead. Compare the out-the-door price across shops in Indiana, since installation fees vary more than the tires themselves. Keep the receipt: the tire warranty and any road-hazard coverage are tied to it. Demand peaks before winter and before summer road trips. Check the listing for hours, whether the shop sells used tires or handles truck and trailer tires, and its Google rating before you drive over on a spare.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 8 am–6 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (219) 487-3811. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.
Its Google rating is 4.1 out of 5 from 75 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.
Gary is in Indiana, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. Getting around Gary is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Indiana's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

This shop is not far from me so I thought let me give my local tire shop some business. This was a big mistake! I wish I had read the reviews before giving them my service. I’m not sure if this was intentional or not, but they sold me a bad tire. When he inspected the tire, he also admitted to it being a bad tire, but they didn't have any more tires in that size. When I asked him how we could fix this issue because I still needed a tire, his reply was "that’s how used tires are and it should last me 7 months”. He then changed the conversation about the tire to what was wrong with my car, which I already had prior knowledge of. When I shifted the conversation back to the tire he hunched his shoulders as if there’s nothing more he could do and walked off. I would have been willing to wait until they got my tire size and come back to get it replaced or if not all my money back at least half so I can put that towards a new tire. I’m disappointed in how they chose to handle this situation. ALWAYS CHECK YOUR TIRES BEFORE THEY PUT THEM ON!!!! Google what a good/bad tire looks like, if you don’t know what to look for.

Purchased 2 tires, excellent price and service! The next morning I had a flat!! Gabrielle went above and beyond to get my tire repaired. It wasn't anything they did, I had ran over a nail on the way home...that's my luck!! Extremely pleased, 10 stars. Highly recommended.
